DNA Testing

Hey has anyone tried DNA testing? I found a website http://dnamydog.com/ and am wondering if it is worth the money or not..?

I'm sure Triton is purebred as his parents are both applehead chis, but Triton looks nothing like either and I have doubts that I have been told the truth about where he came from!!

Would finding out about his true genetics really change anything? I personally wouldn't spend the $60 to do it unless I was looking to breed him. But if it's that important to you, it would be interesting to hear the results.

Nope it wouldnt change a thing! I'd love to know if he's got anything else in him that would explain certain behaviours or prone to certain diseases. Always good to know for sure

But before adopting or buying a dog, make sure to know the parents and genetics of the dog for health reasons. It would be better if you know the hereditary diseases the dog might have.
